One Of Those Moments

Have you ever had one of those moments where you look at your kids and think that they are perfect in every way? Well on Sunday before church I had these thoughts. They are everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. They both looked so handsome and sweet. Trace actually dressed himself. He voted out the polo I had picked out for him because he wanted to wear a tie. I took a photo to share (YES, Kaden is double fisting doughnuts; what can I say the boys eats. What will really blow your mind is that he had just eaten blueberry pancakes).

You're A Shining Star

Trace loves to sing; he is such a ham. Here are some videos of his talent at work! Here he is singing some of his favorite songs which include: The Lion Sleeps Tonight, The Offspring (Pretty Fly), Who Let the Dogs Out, Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song, Day "O", Ring of Fire and many more. I think we may have to put him on American Idol. Kaden is my quiet artist; he wasn't interested in partaking in the singing. You should see his artwork though, he has a talent all his own. Dread Lock Rasta

Today was hat day at Trace's school. He chose a hat I brought him home from Bermuda. He also wore my hemp backpack to match and picked out a funny shirt that says "Conserve gas, toot in a jar". It is really a nighttime shirt but I offered to let him wear that one or one with a whale on it that says "Save the Humans". My little earthy boy. To bad his Chuck Taylors don't fit anymore :)

His girlfriend Grace ran up and hugged him and said, "Traceeee you look funny". Trace and Grace are the ultimate pair in class these days. His teachers said he puts his arm around her at story time. They said Trace is like a teenager. He is begging for her to come over and play. Grace says they are going to get married because their names rhyme (that's what her Mom told me :)

Spring Concert

Trace had his first concert of the Spring on Sunday. They sang "This is the Day". He did a wonderful job and even gave me a big thumbs up when he saw me in the crowd. I was so proud of him. He went through a spell of not wanting to sing so I told him he didn't have to join Kids-N-Praise this Spring if he didn't want to, but if he did he had to give it his all and perform. He kept his end of the deal and did a great job, no tears! He did manage to erase his beautiful performance from my camera while viewing it. I learned a very important lesson, do not let the children play with precious video equipment. I did take one still photo; here it is.

Happy Valentine's Day

The boys had an exciting Valentines Day. They got candy, love bug glasses to fill with milk while they enjoyed their sweets, and chickens. Yes, you read the last part right. They both got one. Trace's is named Eleanor and Kaden's is named Penny (after Beatles songs). This week the boys and Britt have been making a chicken coop and run for them. Trace even took them to school for show and tell, they were a hit! The boys can't wait to start collecting (and eating) their eggs. It has been a great learning experience for them, learning about molting, egg teeth, ect.

Hot Chicks

Today the boys went next door to see our neighbors new chickens. They each got to hold one and are now begging for their own :) Here are some pics of the cute little buggers.

My Valentine

Trace had a Valentines Party today at school! He dressed himself this morning. He picked out a cute pink polo, a red vest, and red hat. He looks a bit mismatched but is for sure in the Valentine spirit! He wanted to wear all pink and red today. He made Spiderman Valentines for his classmates and wanted to give every other one to Jillian and Grace; I had to explain that everyone only gets one :) He is such a stud. Grace's Mom told me said that she tells her she is going to marry Trace.

At the party they had pizza, decorated Valentine cups, ate cupcakes, and exchanged cards. Trace had a lot of fun and did a great job sharing all of his goodies with little brother! Kaden didn't know what to think of all the yummy treats, he has such a sweet tooth. I will have to make sure and get my little Valentine a BIG box of candy.
