My Little Picasso

Today the boys created pasta art. We made red, blue, green, and yellow pasta and used it to create a masterpiece worth hanging up in the kitchen. Kaden enjoyed eating the green, while Trace was partial to the red. Picasso himself could not have done a better job! Bon Appétit!

Saturday Morning Suprise

Like I said before the boys LOVE the Denny's Nannerpus commercial, so Sat morning I made them a special treat. You would have thought it was Christmas they were so excited. I even attached fishing wire to tentacles to make them move. JKaden's looked a little crazy in the eyes and beat up but it still did the trick. Play Ball!

Today the boys and I went on a road trip to see my cousin Alex play Davidson in baseball (Alex is a Yale Bulldog). The boys has a blast! Alex was even kind enough to give them both a ball (after Trace got a foul ball but he threw it back because he said it didn't belong to him, after I explained that you get to keep the ones you catch he was heartbroken but Alex saved the day!) Trace was so sad when we had to part ways with Alex, he cried and begged for me to catch up with the bus so we could go with him. Kaden was sad too but he was busy rolling down a hill and begging me for a another hot-dog, so I avoided a meltdown with him. The boys were exhausted by the end of the game, they passed out as soon as we got in the car. I added a video of Alex showing off his skills just for Aunt K' & my Mom. Kaden couldn't have had a better third birthday, he got to spent it with all his cousins! We can't wait until our next visit with Alex!

We also visited with cousins Owen and Griffin before the game. Kathy was so sweet and had balloons, cupcakes, and a gift for Kaden. I think all the cousins really enjoyed playing together. Owen and Trace get along very well; Kaden likes to do his own thing (I think he wanted Owen's train table, that is where he spent most of his time, maybe he will offer him a snickers bar as a trade :) and Griffin is happy as long as he is near the big boys. It was a great day, thank-you to everyone for entertaining us!

Kaden's Birthday

We celebrated Kaden's birthday Saturday. He is turning 3 on Tuesday but I am taking the boys to a baseball game so we celebrated this weekend so we could do it as a family. We ended up taking him bowling and Kaden actually beat me and Trace! He couldn't conquer Britt though, I think in a few years he will give him a run for his money though. I made a chocolate lava cake...it turned out interesting.... He got a Woody doll (from Kee) a new game system (from us after the one he got for Christmas broke), a new home game system and Kalidogears (from us), a Buzz lunchbox and gardening set (from Hootie), a Turtle (not a real one, I will post photos of what it is as soon as we take it out) (from Mammee and Poppy), and many more goodies. I have to say Woody is the ultimate favorite, he takes it everywhere. Woody went bowling, to Sunday school, literally everywhere. I feel like I am searching for it every five minutes. I think we may have to buy a backup in case Woody is ever forgotten somewhere. Kaden was all about the gifts this year. He searched the house up and down for them and actually found the Kalidogears twice so I just gave in early on those. I can't believe he is turning three...what is next sixteen? No matter what his age he will always be my LITTLE blonde, curly haired, blue eyed, dandylion picker.

Snow....Again

It snowed again on Monday. The kids played it in all day; they had snowball fights and jumped on the snow covered trampoline. They also each got a bucket and collected a ton of snow, for what I am not sure. There wasn't snow enough to really sled so we just played in it for the afternoon. Trace is more of a snow lover than Kaden, he could play in it all day. Kaden would rather enjoy it for a moment, then curl up by the fire like me :) Here are some pics.

One Of Those Moments

Have you ever had one of those moments where you look at your kids and think that they are perfect in every way? Well on Sunday before church I had these thoughts. They are everything I could have ever dreamed of and more. They both looked so handsome and sweet. Trace actually dressed himself. He voted out the polo I had picked out for him because he wanted to wear a tie. I took a photo to share (YES, Kaden is double fisting doughnuts; what can I say the boys eats. What will really blow your mind is that he had just eaten blueberry pancakes).

You're A Shining Star

Trace loves to sing; he is such a ham. Here are some videos of his talent at work! Here he is singing some of his favorite songs which include: The Lion Sleeps Tonight, The Offspring (Pretty Fly), Who Let the Dogs Out, Alvin and the Chipmunks Christmas song, Day "O", Ring of Fire and many more. I think we may have to put him on American Idol. Kaden is my quiet artist; he wasn't interested in partaking in the singing. You should see his artwork though, he has a talent all his own.
