Up, Up, and Away!

Today we took the boys to Goldsboro to see an air-show. The Blue Angels were there; Trace was so excited, they were his favorite part. Kaden's favorite part was the Stealth Bomber, it looked like something Batman would fly! I can't believe we were lucky enough to see it in action. They had a Pearl Harbor simulation complete with explosions, the boys were in heaven! It was a hot day and a long 5 hours in the heat but it was well worth it. They got to explore planes and all kinds of wonderful things boys dream of. It was hard to tell who had more fun though, Britt or the Kids :) I served as the photo taker, sunscreen applicator, wagon hauler, and water maid and let the boys have a wonderful time with Dad. At the end they each got a model of their favorite planes (the Stealth Bomber for Kaden and a Blue Angel for Trace). Enjoy the photos!

Late Easter Pics

Here is a photo of the Easter Bunny goodies and the egg hunt he left for the boys. I have never seen little feet run so fast. Trace would get one egg for himself and then get one for Kaden and drop it in Kaden's basket. He beat Kaden to almost all the eggs but at least he shared :) The egg hunt was the biggest hit; they were more excited about that then all the goodies he left!

Easter Sunday

Today we went to Easter service and the boys were baptised. Kaden wasn't thrilled about it, he said he didn't want to get wet and asked if it was over yet. Trace took it fine but had a fat lip from his fall yesterday. We tried to get a good family photo afterwards but we were unsuccessful. Every time someone has closed eyes or was looking down, my personal favorite is the one I posted..very classy Trace. After the service we went home and ate a classic Easter lunch. Hootie left afterwards, Trace was sad to see her go, Kaden was passed out but I am sure when he wakes up he will feel the same. Easter morning photos will be posted later :)

Easter Eve

We are getting ready for the Easter Bunny here! This morning we went to an egg hunt with our friends in the neighborhood (I think combined we bought11 kids to the hunt), the boys had a lot of fun. Then we dyed Easter eggs and had a great day outdoors. Kaden fell asleep early but Trace stayed up to get carrots, eggs (for the bunny to hide) and milk (he insisted on that one) for the Easter Bunny. He also made him a thank-you card. The boys can't wait until the morning to see what the bunny brings. Hootie is here visiting so it makes the holiday all the more special! Happy Easter to all and to all a goodnight!

The Easter Bunnys Coming to Town!

We went to see the Easter Bunny on Tuesday and it was our most successful try yet. Kaden was actually in the photo this year; he wasn't over the top excited about being in a giant bunny's lap, but he dealt with it. I will scan the photo later but here are some shots of our mall trip.

Dear Prudence

Our chicken Prudence laid her first egg for us today! I went outside and checked before church and low and behold Prudence had left us a present. It was very exciting, the boys were so proud. Kaden wanted to carry the egg everywhere. I made Britt snap a few photos of the boys and I and our Dear Prudence and her first egg!

Easter Party

Trace had his class Easter party and egg hunt at school. He and Grace were, as always, the cute couple. Kaden was so excited about the eggs having candy inside, all day he kept asking me if it was time to go and he clutched onto his Easter basket for dear life. We also went to another hunt this weekend and Kaden almost passed out when he saw the plenty of eggs everywhere. He and Trace collected over 50 eggs together at that one. They both decided to put their loot together and share, we have enough candy to supply Willy Wonka's factory for a year.
