Happy Birthday to Trace!

Today is Trace's birthday; I can't believe he is already four! He got a Gameboy Advance SP, sweaters, games, and a puzzle from Mom and Dad. Books, a Hulk movie, and a skateboarding game from Poppy and Mammee, and three Gameboy games, a case for his Gameboy, and a Hulk Smash game from Kee. Hootie even got him Hulk Smash hands, so he racked up on Hulk gear. He loves all of his gifts, thank-you everyone! He was so excited about his Gameboy, when he opened it he screamed, "IT'S MY GAME SYSTEM!". He wasn't to thrilled about the new sweaters, but he needed them :) Last night we watched the Hulk and played his Hulksmash game. (We celebrated last night because Britt won't be home until late tonight, so I didn't want to make him wait). Tonight we are making cupcakes together for his class, tomorrow is their Thanksgiving party and they are going to sing Happy Birthday to him.

Kaden's Dance Moves

Kaden loves to dance. Here is a video, he actually does it a bit better than in this video; I rewound the commercial and made him do it again so I could tape it. He does the funky chicken and everything, he even goes down low, all the way to the floor. I will post more videos of his dance moves as they come. He reminds me of my brother Brett, I remember days of Brett trying to break dance :) Trace and Kaden's current favorite song is even Alvin and the Chipmunks (the Christmas song), which brings back even more memories of my brothers and I. My kids never fail to make me smile. So watch the video and everybody clap your hands, PEACE.

OK, so after making this post I realized you can not see anything but the TV (to dark, guess I should have used my actual video camera instead of my digital camera), sorry, so he redid it again, I kept the old video on there though because his voice sounded to cute. Below is a video you can actually see, I am going to post another soon though, he was a bit worn out with doing it here :)

A new allergy found

Trace got a boo boo and his teachers put a band-aid on it. As you can see from the photos it was a bad idea. I guess he had to have the nice brand because I have never had a problem, so no off brand band-aids (especially Nexcare brand).

Getting ready for the Holidays!

Trace's Kids-N-Praise group is getting ready for their holiday performances. I have been helping out the past two weeks in his class, in addition to being a drama coach for the Christmas play (for the older kids) and in charge of the slide show for the Christmas performance on December 7th. Here are a few snap shots of Trace that I have taken, some of which I am including in the slide show. Kaden has been going with me and loving it, I can't wait until he is old enough to join. Though I don't know how our schedule can get much busier than it has these days; how did my parents adjust their schedules for three? I have trouble with two.

Leaf Party!

Today was bleak and boring so the boys and I decided to spend the day making a leaf pile and jumping into it, while jamming out to some B.B. King. It was classic kid fun and Lucille provided some great tunes. Here are some photos.

Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours! Obama Is Proof That Change Can Happen!

Tonight, more than any other, has shown much promise for America. This is a night many never envisioned possible. No longer can African Americans say they can not achieve, or that they do not have have an equal chance. No longer is "no we can't" in our regular vocabulary, instead we replace those words with, "YES WE CAN"; we shall overcome. History has been made; the people have spoken. This election has shown that equality reigns in America. An excuse is no longer exceptable in the United States of America. I feel the power of change. I feel pride. I am inspired. I feel that we, as Americans, are truly one. Things that have kept Americans apart have now been cast aside. Many of McCain's supporters booed during his speech when mentioning Obama, hopefully that distain will not continue over these next eight years. It is important that these McCain supporters learn to accept Obama as President of the United States. Change will happen, but this is just the beginning, it will not occur overnight; we must continue to be patient and work together. It took twenty one months of campaigning to get us here, let that patience continue. Good things come to those who wait. It is a long road ahead, but it is a road that has now be paved with hope. Obama captured this generation of voters with his speeches, politics, and ethics, and in turn won our hearts and votes. The doors of opportunity are open, our children are knocking, please join me in answering their call! To all who voted thank-you; change can happen! Gray, Trace & Kaden Kirby
